At the very beginning of my studies in fiber manipulation and design techniques I became attracted to shibori, which has roots in ancient Japan.

As I continued to study this fascinating  and seemingly limitless technique I built up a library of samples.

Eventually I decided to constrain my sample size to a dimension that would lend itself to the size appropriate to a scarf. I began to work with linen, silk, and a silk wool blend.

Many of these shibori scarves are now for sale in my shop.
